Last night was horrible.  From midnight until 10 am I was up every hour.  Keira just wont eat enough in the night and then is hungary real soon.  How do I get them to sleep longer?  I will put her back in her crib but she doesnt seem to like to lie flat on her back but is content in the swing (even if it isnt swinging).  Luckily Shaun is great about taking the kids when I need a nap which I had when he came home from work today!

Here are some more pics of the babies.  Most are taken by Chelsey Roberts, I think they were about 8 weeks.  The last one is of Keira later on.  The bunnies in the one pic were bought by my mom in England before we lost Cadence.  It is Peter Rabit, Flopsy and Mopsy .

Ok it isnt working to post, I will try later.

So I finally have a moment to come on here and update my blog.  Conor and Keira are w/ their grandparents today to give me a break.  Nights are so hard.  The first half is good and then around 2 or 3 in the morning either someone is fussy or wide awake.  If one is wide awake I try to leave them in their crib and sometimes it works but other times, they end up waking the other one.   So this morning from 3 am until 10:30 when SHauns mom picked them up I was awake and tending to someone.

Conor has been colicky.  It isnt a constant crying but sometimes it can be hard to settle him.  And we cant change his formula b/c I think it is the only one they can be on b/c of their digestive system.  But he has strated to projectile vomit once a day and it is really annoying and gross.  We are doing everything from burping him more to trying different bottle nipples, so far no luck.

Keira is smiling now.  She is so pretty!!  I feel like I have bonded w/ her more b/c when she is awake she is content and I have more opportunity to talk w/ her.  Conor is usually crying when awake or furrowing his brow.  I swear he thinks Im evil.  When I took him for his blood work, he just stared and cried at me, it looked like he was saying w/ his eyes “why are you letting this strange lady do this to me”.  But I know in time, he will settle down and we will bond more.  Im not too worried about it.  I think I would be fussy too if I had to go through everything he has been through.  They had a dr appt the other day and Conor weighs 9 lbs, 11 oz and Keira is 9 lbs, 5 oz  I cant believe how big they have gotten!

We move in a week and a half.  I can not wait.  Packing is coming along.  Pretty much all that is left is the essentials that we cant really pack untill the end.  Everynight I just picture where we will put things in our new house.  My parents come to visit for a week Oct 19 and my brother and his wife will be here for thanksgiving.  Darren and Meagan havnt met the babies yet so Im really excited for them to be here.

Things have been so crazy around here.  On Friday, I kept asking the nurses when Conor would be discharged and they kept saying Sunday for sure.  Shaun and I were in a wedding on Saturday so I wanted to be sure I didnt have to make arrangements for someone else to pick him up.  So on Saturday, Shaun and I go ahead w/ being in a wedding party and dropped Keira off w/ Shauns parents.  Sue (Shauns mom) went late morning to see Conor and they told her they were discharging Conor.  Luckily Shaun had put one of the car seat bases in our garage so she was able to come and get it to take Conor to her place.  Thank goodness for inlaws who love their grandchildren!!  It was hard being at the wedding knowing that Conor had been discharged and I wasnt there to be with him but I knew he was in good hands.

Last night, my first night w/ both of them since he came home, was actually pretty good.  I was worried that Conor wouldnt go back to sleep after feedings.  And better yet, they went 4 hours between feedings.  Hopefully the rest of the week goes like that b/c our days are going to be very busy.  Every day we have at least 2 appointments between the house selling and doctors for the kids and I.

Conor and Keira are getting so big now.  They are both over 7 lbs (I know, that is normal birthweight for babies, but its big for our kids!).  They feel like real babies now and are easier to hold and feed.  I have even mastered feeding two at once.  Gotta figure out how to burp both at the same time.  My brother and his wife are coming out for Thanksgiving to meet the babies and Im so excited for that.  We will be in our new house by then (hopefully!).
