So this weekend Shaun and I went to Mesachie Lake for the annual Firefighters Softball tourny that raises funds for MD.  I didnt know wether to pray for rain or sun.  If it rains, its cold and miserable and it would mean sleeping w/ 2 wet dogs.  But if its sunny, I am nice and warm, working on a tan and suffering from allergies.  It was neither, but it was cold.  I didnt warm up the whole time and ended up coming back on Sat night w/ the dogs.  It was a good time though.  Last I heard from Shaun ( he is still up there), they had made it to the finals.  They will have to beat Lake Cowichan twice (at least that is who I think they are playing) which means he wont be home until later tonight.  Almost everyone in our group had nice campers/5th wheels/tent trailors.  We were in a tent, I wish we had a tent trailor but is it really worth the expense just for the 2 weekends of camping we do a year.  I would rather us spend our money on a baby grande piano.

The dogs are so funny.  Whenever one of us would leave the campsite, they would yelp like we were abandoning them, even if the other one of us was right with them.  Its the only time we tie them up and they arent big fans of that.  Shaun spoils those two so much.  They got to sleep right on the air mattress with us all night.  They are nice and cuddly but with all of that weight, the air mattress was flat by morning.

I wish I liked camping more, I guess I like the idea of it better than actually doing it.  Im always fretting about my hair and I just never feel clean which I hate.  I prefer the sunny holdiays at a resort or in hotels.  Plus now with the dogs, I am always the one getting up w/ them at 6 am and there is no going back to bed once they are up.  They yelp and wake up the whole campsite.  Shaun is very good with the dogs the rest of the day, he is just not a morning person.

Well Im going to take advantage of having the tv to myself and watch some of my friends dvds, I know Im such a geek but I still love that show!!

I’m so with you on the camping… My dad has a cottage in Quebec. It’s pretty much a house and that’s the only kind of “camping” I like to do.
